About

I am a playwright and theatre facilitator based in the south of England. I strive to make work that responds to a need, that is community centred and creates opportunity. For me, theatre is at its most powerful when it has an off-stage aim, even if that aim is just to have a laugh.

I believe that theatre should be:

  • Accessible - Theatre is for everyone. I want to take the time to make that conviction true.

  • Diverse - Both visibly and invisibly. Not just to tick a box, but because it’s right.

  • Compassionate - To myself, cast, creatives, audiences, participants…. everyone.

  • Fun - It’s called a play for a reason.

Squirrels was shortlisted for the Phil Fox Award in Playwriting and Watching a Whale Fall was long listed for The Women’s Prize for Playwriting.

I’ve previously been supported by the Royal Court Theatre (Playwrighting group), the National Youth Theatre, The Pappy Show (Mentee), Mrs C’s collective (The Writers Collective), London Playwrights’ workshop, Potsmouth Guildhall (previous Associate Artist).

My writing has been performed in conjuction with: the National Youth Theatre, Bethany Cooper productions, Mrs C’s Collective, Yellow Coat Theatre, and The Corona Virus Theatre Club.
