Potholing

“Do you think I didn’t try?

Sometimes I think I didn’t,

That I don’t.

That if I was just more….

More.

That if I was more, I could do it.”

Potholing follows Ellen as she becomes lost in a maze of subterranean caves, her only company is an Echo and a man she’d rather forget, but sometimes things aren’t as easy as just climbing out. Ellen must find her way through her own memories and imagination to understand what’s really keeping her here.

Potholing uses a mixture of prose and poetry to express how ADHD and maladaptive daydreaming feel. It explores how these disorders affect how the world is experienced and the impact they have upon relationships. Potholing received Art’s Council funding and support from London Performance Studios for an R&D.
